Is CE.SDK compatible with mobile web browsers?

Yes. CE.SDK works on both desktop and mobile browsers, though mobile support has some limitations around video features worth knowing before you build.

Desktop browsers

Full support for graphics editing, video editing, and video export is available on the following:

  • Chrome 114+
  • Edge 114+
  • Firefox 115+ (video editing supported from v130; video export is not supported)
  • Safari 15.6+

Mobile browsers

Graphics editing is fully supported on mobile. Video editing and video export are not currently available on mobile browsers.

  • Chrome Android 114+
  • Chrome iOS 114+ (on iOS/iPadOS 15 or newer)
  • Safari iOS 15.6+ (on iOS/iPadOS 15 or newer)

When a user on an unsupported browser attempts to use video functionality, CE.SDK automatically displays a warning dialog so they are not left wondering what went wrong.

Other Chromium-based browsers such as Arc, Brave, Opera, and Vivaldi may work but are not officially supported or tested.
