A hostname is a unique string that identifies your project to the system. Before you can download your license file and in order to activate your IMG.LY SDK, you have to add hostnames. You can add your Hostnames in your IMG.LY dashboard by clicking on Subscriptions in the navigation bar, and then Show on the corresponding subscription plan. You can then add your hostnames by clicking Edit Hostnames/IPs in the appropriate field.
For the hostnames, you can use characters, special signs, or numbers. You can add multiple hostnames for the same product for different development stages. Please note that you can only add an IP-address if no hostname has been added. The SDK checks the entered value using the window.location.hostname property so the value has to match. To do so, simply separate the different hostnames with a comma ',' without blank spaces in-between. Please note that every new project needs a new subscription and is seen as its own entity.
To configure the hostnames and to download your license file, log into your dashboard, click on Subscriptions in the navigation bar and click on Show for the corresponding subscription plan.
Insert your hostname by clicking on Edit Hostnames/IPs. You can enter either a hostname as an URL or a numeric IP address. After you’ve entered your hostnames, click on SAVE and then on Download License. The download will start automatically. Finally, please insert these into the respective SDK and activate your project as explained in our guides and you are good to go.
